Check in at Kathmandu was really easy and swift. No queues in Business Class give a hassle free startup of the journey.

Cathay Pacific ground members were stand by at the ramp gate for welcoming us and escorting to the concerned gates for further connections. After 4 hours transit in Hong Kong international airport we boarded in Boeing 777 – 300ER scheduled for Melbourne. Priority lane here again made super easy.

The Seat:

A super wide seat, wider than any other airlines I have boarded in made me amazed. There was a “wow” from Bandana and it really has meaning.

82 inch pitch and 21 inch wide full flatbed seat seemed super luxury with adequate storage space for your every essentials including tablet, mobile, wallet, laptop and vanity box within reach of your seating.
A pull up arm rest and television monitor that can be flipped to enhance viewing experience during sun deck seating position was my first experience. Slightly angled seats give more comfort and stretch space during full flatbed option. Mechanisms and buttons are so simple to operate even a child or a senior citizen can easily operate with the engraved signage. Simply, seating in 11D aside of my wife, the bulkhead seat was simply exceptional.

Comfort & Food

Imagine yourself! After 4 hours late night flight with not much snooze when you see a luxury flatbed with all the amenities!!! It turns to HEAVEN. It happened same to me. As the seat belt sign went off, I was already turned down to flat covered with a floppy blanket.

A full rest of 6 hours sleep gave me a fresh wakeup mid in the air. Amenity kit helped a joyful refresh and my lunch mood turned on with the Kapil Sharma Show inside StudioKA on 22 inch HD widescreen.
Thanks god! We have pre-ordered Asian Vegetarian Meal. Otherwise, may the good option could be bread and butter. In spite of having a wide range of selection for non-vegetarian food in the menu vegetarian are less prioritized. Only one vegetarian food option is available in onboard menu. But nov-veg guys don’t worry, you would have a restaurant like menu.

A cabin crew dressed my table with upholstery and another served my food in ceramic cutlery, presented and dressed well with a fresh smell increased my hunger. Feeling like fine dining in an up class lounge with a favorite Hindi comedy at an altitude of 40,000 ft. was really amazing. I quickly finished my meal with sparkling drink and turned my seat in to Sun Deck position.

Having a drink in hand, noise conciliating headphones and a fresh new movie in a personal screen was feeling like my own bedroom in my lazy hours.

In-Flight Service

Caring, courteous, cheerful and efficient from beginning to end with the cabin crew in high spirits made our journey memorable. Nine hours and twenty minutes flight was like a blinking eye. The landing was so smooth even I skipped the touchdown movement. Thanks Cathay Dragon and Cathay Pacific, making our travel to completely new continent so convenient, comfortable and joyful.
